TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN.

I hereby declare that, procooding from the

Port of Vladivostok to the Port of Hong Kong, on

the 18th July 1947, whilst passing CHILANG PT. at

04.00 hours, I observed the shores of the gulf of

CHILANO PT, with the Lighthouse CHILANG PT. in the

distance of 1 mile, directly in my course, although

I had observation of the Lighthouse at 19.00 hours

on the 17th July 1947.

The course was laid from the gulf of

CHILANG PT. in the distance of 9 miles, but in

viow of the unforseen circumstances, the vessel

was made lecway towards the shore 8 miles in 11

hours.
